Brooke and I have returned from our lovely visit to Charlotte, NC. Shannon, Chris and Emma were wonderful hosts. We spent a ton of quality time together - especially Shannon and I. Brooke and Emma did parallel play - playing next to each other plenty, but basically ignoring each other. Brooke was loving Emma's big-girl toys, and her new fav snack, Goldfish.
The car rides were funny - Emma would sit serenly in her car seat, "reading" her book, while Brooke would chatter, shreik and kick her legs like a maniac. Emma must have liked it, though, Shannon told me today that Emma was sadly looking at Brookie's empty car seat. Sniff.....

Chris watched the ladies for us on Saturday night and we had a FANTASTIC adult evening of snazzy drinks and food out on the patio at a hip restaurant in the nice warm 80 degree evening. Oh, it was so great. Sadly, in our hurry to run out the door while the girls were asleep, we forgot to take a photo.
We also visited the US National White Water Olympic Training Center - which was super cool. Hooray!
Thank you Zappala Fam for the lovely visit. There is a guest bedroom, car seat, stroller and pack and play waiting for you here, so COME VISIT!
