Merry Christmas Eve!

Snow. Again.

It just keeps coming. Check out the crazy drifts it formed in the back yard. Blake loves the weather and he has been barbecuing every night out there.





Brooke likes to eat the snow. I asked her what is tastes like and she said chicken nuggets and cheese. She is a goofball!

Forecast: Hungry with a chance of snow.

Little Hadley has decided enough is enough - we need to feed her some food! She had two jars of baby food today and tried guacamole for the first time. To say she is a fan of guacamole would be the understatement of the decade. I made the horrible mistake of having a chip of my own with guac and not sharing and then walking away from the kitchen - the waterworks began!

In other news, the snow is CRAZY right now. We must have gotten over a foot for the day so far. Blake had to plow a path to the barbecue tonight and it was instantly covered up!

Catching up.

Snow day! There is a storm hitting our town right now. I stayed home with the girls today and figured I better catch up on my blogging.



Brooke and Blake went to cut down the Christmas tree on Saturday. They stopped for a treat at Dairy Queen on the way home.








Then it was time to decorate the tree! Also, my apologies to little Hadley. I had been CRAMMING her into too small clothes - her pants were looking like capris. I went through Brooke's old clothes and brought out the next size up stuff. She looks SO MUCH BETTER in proper fitting clothes! I knew it was bad when my mom told me over vacation two weeks ago that she just couldn't squish Hadley into the clothes I brought - she couldn't even snap the onesies. Sorry Hadley!!!!

Extended California Recap

Or not. We had a wonderful trip to California. We stayed at Blake's aunt Rosanne's lovely house and visited with all the O'Brien sisters, mother and their families. Blake went to the Chargers/Raiders game on Thursday, I went out with my best girlfriends on Friday, Michele and Jeff got hitched on Saturday, the little ladies spent lots of time with Grandma Mary, Grandpa and Uncle Andy, and we hit up the Ventura Street Fair on Sunday.

It was a great, if ultra-busy trip, and I will be blocking out the horror that was being stuck on a plane with a hollering and thrashing Brooke for two hours and Hadley throwing up all over me mid-flight, in hopes that I will attempt another vacation with children at some point in my life. I would write more but, people, I am TIRED and Blake just made tasty burgers for dinner and I am in a food coma. It was fun to go and we are happy to be back. Now Christmas - BRING IT ON!

* Not four short hours later this little angel covered me in a full bottle's worth of barf. I required a total wardrobe change (as did she). She still smiled and cooed through it all and then needed another bottle since she was hungry again! And don't attempt photo shoots sans diapey. You end up with a puddle. :)
