Silly

Last night Brooke was cracking herself up. She was wearing Blake's beanie on her head, covering her eyes. She was staggering around the living room just laughing away. She is funny!

Marching Band

Brooke has a new nightime routine. There is still a bottle involved, but not much cuddling. She sits in our laps for about half her bottle and then it is time to roam/lurch around the room drinking her bottle like she was playing the trumpet. :)

Words

Brooke has started to say a few words! She has been babbling away quite a bit lately, all sorts of cute sounds. Yesterday Blake was saying "Uh-oh!" and she was saying it back. Oh, it was the cutest sound ever! I am also sure she said "woof woof" and "meow" the other night when I was reading a book to her her. Such a big girl....

I will try to get a little video footage for the blog of her saying "uh-oh" this weekend.

Happy Friday!

Arty Pics and Proof of Walking

Brooke actually stayed up a little later tonight.  We played in her room and I was able to get both arty photos of her and a video of her walking!  Yessssss!

Look at those sweet little tooties!

Big tummy after eating two jars of baby food for dinner.

She has pretty curls coming in.  I was even able to put them into a tiiiiiny ponytail for about 4 seconds the other day!

What the tail end of 11 days off from work looks like...

Well, the holiday festivities are finally over. The early part of the break was full of events - Seattle, Christmas, Grandma Yoo Hoo coming to visit - FUN! The rest of the vacation was spent holed up in the house due to the lovely East Winds we have here in Troutdale that turn outside into a frozen artic tundra.  There was ample opportunity to play with Brooke, which is always great.  And sleeping in till 8:00 a.m. has perks, too. For some reason Brooke was sleeping in 13 hour blocks each evening. Wow. Overall - what a wonderful, cozy time with our little lady.

Here is a photo summary of what Staying Home in the Winter is like with Brooke.

1. "I have 9,000 toys, but the only one I want to play with is Thor's DISGUSTING one."  Ugh, ugh, a thousand times ugh.

2. "Wait, I have found something better than the nasty toy - the slobbery lips themselves." Barf.

3. "Did you see that play?! Where was the flag?!" We watch a lot of football. This is fine with me - at least no one is getting murdered or naked during a football game - for now...

4. "That Peyton Manning - what a card!" Brooke has her snacks while learning the the finer points of the game. Do we have a future commentator on our hands? She would certainly do a better job than Tony Cornholio on ESPN MNF. Will someone PLEASE do something about him over at ESPN? I would rather have Charles Barkley up there yapping away.

5. Our other Mommy-approved viewing is the Disney channel. At this moment we were watching the High School Musical sing along version. Yessssss!!!!

Tomorrow - video of the WALKER!
