The Pumpkin Express

We had a wonderful weekend visit with Blake's cousin Anne-Marie and her husband Wade. We enjoyed an adults only evening on Friday night at Edgefield. Saturday morning Brooke, Hadley and I crashed the soaking pool at Edgefield with Anne-Marie and Wade. Then it was time for The Pumpkin Patch Express train ride from Hood River to the pumpkin patch!!! It was lots of fun and the weather was GORGEOUS! We finished the evening off with dinner at Full Sail Ale. Thanks again to Anne-Marie and Wade for making the trek to Portland to spend time with us!

Milestone photos

Milestones

Hadley had a big weekend. She rolled over onto her tummy, she grabbed her toys on the activity mat, she took a bath in the tub with her sister and she tried some pears. I have photos of some of these activities and will post them this evening. Here is a video of Hadley trying her pears.

Left alone to my own devices....

Here is Kip Raccoon.  He is not afraid of me, my camera flash nor the porch light.  He enjoys eating bark chips, digging, rolling in the grass and wrestling with the garden hose.

I was up past 9:30 and so was Hadley...self-portrait time!!!  Hadley appears to be stunned at such activity so late or she was mesmerized by the auto-timer's red flashing light ...

She was getting in the spirit of things here.

Random Tuesday

I decided to close my eyes and shuffle around randomly in IPhoto and click on a picture and that would be the one posted tonight. The photo the mouse chose is one of Brooke at the Ventura County Fair this past August. Brooke, Hadley, Grandma Mary and I had just visited the rabbits, chickens, and turkey exhibit area and walked out of the hall into the main pedestrian area of the fair. Brooke spotted this golf cart and made a beeline for it. 25,000 things to see at the fair and she is most excited about the golf cart.

Bumbo-sitter / Cranky McCrankerton

Hadley likes to have a good view of Brooke at all times. The Bumbo is perfect for that!

Tonight she was having some major tummy trouble and was crying and crying. Her little face was covered in tears. She finally worked out her problem and was quieting down in the tub. Now, as I type this, she is sleeping peacefully in her swing.

Four Month Photo Shoot

When Brooke was four months old I took her to Sears for a photo shoot in this dress. Now it was time for Hadley to have her turn. Except I did this in our living room, instead of schlepping over to Sears. Much easier.

Hadley is not quite the ham Brooke was at this age. She would rather chatter and chew on her dress than smile pretty for the camera. I think they turned out pretty well. The full shoot may be found by clicking here.

Slices of Life

Blake took the frog wind chimes off the front door the other night because they kept hitting the door in the strong winds we were having. The next morning Brooke was walking around with the chimes and the screwdriver, trying to figure out how to get it back on the front door!

And as for this little one, well - turning four months old and drinking almost 32 ounces of milk between 4:00 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. REALLY wore her out!!!

Happy Four Month Birthday, Hadley Grace Elizabeth!

I will have to take a few "official" 4-month photos, but here are few fun ones for now! Also - this four month old is wearing size six to nine month baby clothes!!!!
