Someone is becoming quite the little lady.

And this one is pretty cute, too.

Hadley Cakes

Brooke wanted to get in the pack'n'play with Hadley this morning. Hadley LOVED it.

Hadley has grown quite a bit in the last few weeks. Her legs seem to have lengthened by at least an inch. She is really enjoying baby food and can pick up cheerios and bananas and feed herself.

Jammies and Story Time

The girls are already sprouting out of the jammies we got them earlier this winter. I picked up some larger ones over the weekend....Matching jammies - I love it!

Hadley is becoming increasingly interested in books, especially if Brooke is reading them. Hadley also is moments away from crawling. I bet she will figure it out in the next two weeks. Brooke is not going to know what hit her when that happens, heh heh.

First French Braid

I can believe she sat still long enough for me to do this!

Tub time.

Just a regular Thursday night. from morgan swanson on Vimeo.

Brooke has been putting more phrases together, using words like "I", "you" and "yours". One of her new things is to say "My Mommy!" when she sees me arrive at school.

Hadley is changing and growing as well. Though the little stinker won't hold her bottle (Brooke was doing that by now), she can sit up unassisted in the tub!!! Brooke was a good 1.5 years old before we could stop using that dang bath seat. That is one baby gear item I will NOT miss. Here they are in the tub tonight. Brooke likes to wrap her Woody doll in washcloths - you can see her working on it in the photos.

Grandma Mary gave Brooke this cute little outfit and it is getting some more use here. I love the tights!

New Year's Eve and the Christmas Hangover.

We have not taken that many photos this past week. But here are a couple:

Wooooot! It is a New Year's Eve PAAAARTAAAAY over here! Nothing like a party hat and a face full of guacamole to get the party started!

We temporarily had convenient access to our neighbor's yard AND the sidewalk!

More evidence of the deck demolition. It looks sort of okay from inside the house and then you look again and see it is TOTALLY KNOCKED OFF IT'S PYLONS!

Brooke has become accustomed to opening presents every night. Everyone was so extremely generous, she had many to open over the last two weeks. Once in a while she asks "Maybe open some presents?"

Bad blogger!

I have been out of commission this week...the New Year has been...interesting...to say the least. Anyway, here are some cute photos of Brooke wearing her cupcake beanie and dancing while singing the "monkeys jumping on the bed" song and Hadley modeling her super-adorable new beanie from Aunties Erika and Anne-Marie and Uncle Wade.

Bang! Happy New Year!

Someone celebrated New Year's Eve by driving their truck through our backyard into the deck Blake spent all summer building. Then they ran away when they couldn't back their truck out since our neighbor's play structure was pinned underneath it. They left a skull sized imprint in the windshield, so they must have one heck of a headache today. We slept through the entire thing, even the tow truck and police dogs and only learned what was going on when the police knocked on our door at 3:30 a.m.! It looked like a bomb went off in the backyard.
