More Adventures.

Welcome to summer in Oregon. The photo above is the view from our kayak at Lost Lake - a mere hour's drive from our home. Oregon is fabulous, wouldn't you agree? Anyone want to come visit?!

We took advantage of the 90+ degree heat and headed up to the lake for some fun. Brooke and Hadley had a blast (so did Blake and I). Once we convinced the girls to leave their *&^$%$!ing crocs on to protect their feet from the rocks, much fun was had at the shoreline. Brooke prefers to flop about in the water until she turns blue. (Yay for life jackets!) Hadley's mode of operation is to sit in her beach chair, munching on snacks - occasionally dipping her toes in. Hadley really liked going out for a paddle in the kayak, however. She is adventurous - just not into impersonating a sea lion like her sister. Brooke liked the kayak paddle, too.

Hadley likes to try on my sunglasses.

Weekend snapshot.

Here are some photos from the Children's Museum in Portland. It was a stroke of genius to take them there - if I take them by myself, I can actually watch them both at the same time without them being able to dart too far out of my reach. It was shockingly empty on Sunday morning and we spent two hours there, doing many activities twice. Hadley was so serious doing all the activities. She loved the ball suction tubes and Brooke loved the vet clinic.

"Drink, doggie, DRINK!!!! Or you will go the way of your buddy behind me....."

Hadley and this little boy were having so much fun with this exhibit.

Construction Supervisor. She built this road and drove her truck on it. She must take after Uncle Matt, who is working on his doctorate in engineering at University of Texas. (HOOK 'EM, HORNS!)

If only they brushed their OWN teeth this diligently.
