Victory Ice Cream & Brownie Sundae after successfully using the potty twice in a row!
I have been woefully slow in posting this month. I blame it on all the fun we have been having with our guests. Annie and Mike came to visit last weekend and we had such a good time! As most of you know, Annie and I have known each other since first grade at Our Lady of the Assumption. Mike is her boyfriend and he and Blake get along extremely well. Annie and Mike took lots of photos and we did not (doh!). I will post a link to Annie's photos as soon as she sends it to me.
In other news, we have a baby gate up to keep Hadley from the stairs. This helps SO MUCH since we are not chasing her up the stairs every three minutes. On the downside, it does add to the "monkeys in the zoo" vibe going on around here.

Hadley is walking like an old pro and coming close to saying many words. Her current list is: Mama, Dada, no, more, uh-oh, thank you!, baba, YAY!, baby, and rowrowrow-merrymerrymerry. She seems musical and likes to dance. She is a total mama's girl and spends much of her waking hours (when not dashing through the open baby gate) super glued to my side or clinging to my pants wailing.
Brooke has spent the last two days working on becoming potty trained. While this is not a really ideal way to spend a weekend, I think she is making excellent progress. Tomorrow will be one more day at home of really focusing on it. Here's to no more daytime diapers!!!!!

The girls also really enjoy two movies - Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Mary Poppins. They are big fans of Dick van Dyke and his somber and quietly nuanced acting style, which we get to enjoy during REPEATED viewings.

Love the videos. Photos don't always do justice to the situation. I think it's interesting you have such a mama's girl who looks so much like her dad!
