Words and Gestures

Brooke is adding words to her vocabulary. Things she says on a regular basis include:

Mama
Dada
Baba (Bottle)
Ba (Ball)
Nana (Banana)
Uh oh!
Elmo (Yes, Elmo. She has never seen Sesame Street, but he is on the front of her diapers.)

She knows the hand gestures that go along with the "itsy bitsy spider" song and when she does them it is so cute I almost faint.

And finally, she enjoys playing "baby is sleeping". She puts her head on a pillow and we say "shhh, baby is sleeping" and put our finger to our lips to make a "shhhh" sound. She smiles and says "shhhhh" back to us using the finger gesture, though sometimes her finger ends up in her nose....
