Christmas Tree

Brooke and Blake headed out on Saturday morning to rustle us up a Christmas tree! She's a beaut, Clark, 9 feet tall! There was some trauma while getting the tree - Brooke fell and got splinters in her hand upon arrival at the tree farm but Blake talked her down and she moved on and helped pick out the tree.

Still checking on the wound from the splinter here, I think...

For comparison's sake:

2008 is here.

2009 is here.

Well, this is long overdue.

Last time I was posting on here it was SUMMER. Blogging has fallen by the wayside. The girls don't go to bed until 9:30 and that does not leave me much time for the computer. If you are my buddy on Facebook you can see that I am able to post little snippets here and there. The girls are doing very well - so busy and talkative. The winter weather is here and, as I type this, the girls, Blake and Grandma Yoo Hoo are at Mt. Hood, sledding away. Now, time for videos and photos!

The Eloquent Drama Queen

Hadley has been just talking non-stop. She says long, complex sentences and it is hilarious. My favorites over the last week have been injury related. She is a bit of an over reactor and there is much wailing and requests for Mama to "kiss it, please". She poked her eye and started wailing "Mommy, I poked my eyeball with THIS finger! Kiss it!!!!'. It that specific or what! She also was chewing on a tiny Buzz Lightyear toy and it hurt her tongue and she cried "OWIE!!! Mommy, Buzz poked my tongue! Kiss it, please!" and stuck her tongue out for me to kiss. Uhhh, I had to pass on that request!
